Facing the Blazing Heat Calmly
Facing the Blazing Heat Calmly

Hi everyone! My name is George Safaipour. How many of you would prefer to chill down indoors during the brutal heat of summer? I can safely bet that almost everyone, including myself, would agree. However, there are times that I decide to face the blazing heat of the brutal summer even though I may choose to cool off indoors. This can either be physical or symbolic in nature. Even though I may face many types of heat, I find ways to cool on down and protect my sanity.

For exercise routines, there may be no choice but to go right in the blazing sun, especially if I’m walking outdoors. Moreover, I still sweat regardless of where I exercise, even indoors. The fans inside the gym may aid a bit, but they do not fully prevent me from sweating. What’s important is that I control my internal attitude such that I go about the hot weather with a calm attitude. With that calm attitude, I am protected from having to sweat even more than necessary. That’s one way to be cool!

For hot rooms, there may be no choice but to find a way to cool down. In such a heated environment, it can be easy to be overheated and suffer consequences very fast. This is assuming that there is no HVAC system present, the power has been cut off, or you intentionally turned off the HVAC. In such an environment, there are many ways to deal with this situation. These may include drinking cool or cold water, swimming in a nearby swimming pool, removing heat sources, etc. However, what’s important is that finding a solution to that problem will help solve that issue with overheating. Get creative with it, and you will see yourself as your own problem-solver!

For long walks outdoors, there may be no choice but to walk in the middle of the summer heat. That heat can be well felt everywhere I go, even in the places that are covered in the trees’ shade. When that happens, I still sweat. I still keep a pace, and I still maintain my sanity. I may listen to music or even think as I walk. I may converse with people here and there or see new people that I never knew before. I make sure that I arrive back home in time. I do not talk myself out of a good sunny walk, and I walk when I can. Plus, I do not make any excuses for a sunny walk, even when the temperature is high. Who knows what can be seen and experienced on a great sunny walk? What’s important is that I stop excusing myself out of a walkand start amusing myself into the joy of a great long walk.

For intense conversations, there may be no choice but to cool on down. In summer, these types of conversations only get amplified because of the additional heat and the sun’s beaming rays. The surest way to deal with such conversations is to never take what these people say to heart. Most likely, the people who start a heated conversation may simply need to find a way to cool down and especially protect their hearts from the dangers of overheating, even in the middle of a heat wave! I’m confident that my sunhat would protect me well against that heat!

For obvious lies, there may be no choice but to combat it. In my life, I notice this more often than what I originally thoughtabout others. Whenever people lie, they are obviously hiding something, and they are unnecessarily overheating themselves. Why waste time to behave like a heated bomb ready to detonate at any given moment? Instead of succumbing to these deceptive folks, use the TRUTH! Spread the truth and cool down the lies very fast! It’s way more effective than taking any form of revenge. Plus, it’s quite refreshing to enjoy the sweet taste of truth!

When I feel that overheating of any kind is on me, it’s typically a test to see whether or not I can handle the situation. No matter what time it occurs in the heat of summer, there are simple ways to deal with overheating and even get rid of overheating yourself and others. Even though you may do so in a physical sense, it’s mainly a matter of your attitude and how you perceive the situation. The heated temperature cannot truly dictate anything about yourself unless you allow it to do so. We form frameworks on how we perceive those heated temperatures in almost every situation. That heat can be good or it can be bad based on how you perceive it. What’s important is that we do not allow the heated temperatures to influence how we deal with life’s situations. Once you understand this, you will feel that radiance of Strivulence!
