Why Spring Into Strivulence?
Why Spring Into Strivulence?

Hi everyone! My name is George Safaipour. Why Spring into Strivulence? We all must do so. Whether it be in March, April, or any month to come, it's a great season to enjoy the flowers, the blossoming trees, and the crowds of people that come once in a while, especially on sunny days. This season provides plentiful opportunities for people like you to go out and spring into Strivulence. Why do I say this? I'll tell you why.

In the middle of one winter day, it was extremely cold. I recall that the room was very cold inside, and I wore many layers. I kept the thermostat down so that I save the power. I wanted to walk around outside. However, it would be very treacherous due to the ice and snow. I decided to walk around anyway. I wore my snow boots, and I traversed outside on the icy ground. I barely saw anyone, if any, on that path I took. It’s a common route I traverse around, and it was normally devoid of people in the winter. That trail was quite calm. I kept pacing around for miles around this trail, and it felt normal to me, even in the harsh cold weather. It was one of those days I paced around the Clarksville Trail. What about the people back home that decided to sleep on the couch? What about the people back at home that decided to go on social media 24/7? What about those people back at home who fear going out in the cold? What did they do? I have no idea. Those neighbors around me had closed-door policies, and I respected that. What I cared about at that moment was what I was doing traversing the Clarksville Trail. That was the only thing on my mind. I wanted to do my daily walk and return home. Now other people have their rights, and that's OK. They can choose whatever path they want. What mattered most for me was being of strivulence. Those other people may choose to be of strivulence or of ‘anti-strivulence”

However, being of “anti-strivulence” is not the way to go. It can already mean not taking that one walk around the cold path even though you are extremely warm on the interior for this particular example. Being lazy does not give you that energy you need. Laziness saps energy away from you. This is because it makes you want to sleep back home on that couch. I faced that several times when I was growing up. I recall sleeping on the couch, binge-watching TV, and eating junk food. I was a child at that time, and I learned something. From all that laziness, it gave me the belly I did not want, and I was overweight. Why risk that chance? When you have that chance to walk around, you always have that time to take those few steps that may turn into a few miles in a day. Believe me, there are more chances to simply move your body for physical exercise in a given day than you may think. It does not matter whether you are at work, at home or school, or anywhere on this planet or beyond. Whether you take a PEP in your step or not, you just have to move. That's exactly why I walked out in the cold. I walked voluntarily, and I wanted to walk out in the cold and be active. I wanted to pick up trash to help clean up the town. I wanted to see the natural beauty of the outdoors. I wanted to see the warm, or even cold, faces of real people that you do not receive from being in front of an artificially intelligent screen all day long. On the contrary, being lazy will not make me experience any of these gifts. What good would I do if I just sat down on the couch today? Will that bring me or anyone else anywhere towards strivulence? That's why being lazy is not of strivulence.

Additionally, being a bully and/or a liar is NOT of strivulence. That can mean posting something that goes against what you truly believe, posting something that may offend or libel someone, or outright bullying. When someone bullies you, it means that person has no sense of how to be friendly or even relate to other people the right way. While I was growing up, I took many of these bullying blows. However, through all those intimidating trials, I felt that I defeated all of these bullies because I decided to keep my strivulence. Even if they didn't directly bully me, they bullied me indirectly, even when I was not watching them. Whenever it comes to comments, people can say whatever they want, and I usually hear positive comments (which ARE of Strivulence!). Once in a while, I do receive one bad comment or two. Whenever those bad comments are posted, it’s best to ignore them. These comments are most likely trivial. Plus, there's no point in listening to all of those lies that spread like wildfire, and I know it occurs in many places in life, including the workplace and school. I've studied in school and worked a few jobs. From those experiences, I witnessed lying with my own eyes, and I heard it with my ears at school and work. There's a peculiar quality in those people – they love to lie. It's quite toxic because it feels like touching dung. It's nasty. If something is not the truth, why waste time listening to it? Why waste time on my end to think about all that? There are more important activities to place your attention such as working, studying, and working on homework. Whatever activity you do that serves a greater life fulfillment for you is WAY more important than hearing someone's bullying comments or lies. It’s important to get sleep, EXTREMELY important to get sleep. One easy way to get more sleep? STOP listening to these bullies and lies. Yep, there you go, and PLEASE get those extra hours of your life back! That's just another reason why being that bully and/or liar is NOT of strivulence.

Another reason is that if you choose to be unreasonably fearful. Anyone in a healthy state may walk out in the cold at his or her discretion unless that person has a medical condition that prevents him or her from walking around in the cold. There's always going to be a season of coldness. However, you must keep your internal warmness. I just faced the fact that I must go out in the cold whenever I feel like it, especially when it gets cold and dark. It can be frightening to some people. For me, it's not. It's very calm and very tranquil most of the time. It really can feel like a peaceful heaven sometimes. Nonetheless, people's fears can get in the way of the actions they want to accomplish. If you choose to be of “anti-strivulence”, then be lazy, bullying, lying, and unreasonably fearful. It's that simple. You may choose to stop reading now and attempt to ignore all that was written for you. However, that's not the point of this article. Do YOU truly want to stop being lazy, bullying, lying, and fearful? Then please listen to these three actions you must take.

First, be active by hitting the gym, taking a quick walk, or going grocery shopping. Do something that makes YOU move. Any action can be done at any place and anywhere as long as you are doing it for the right purpose. What's truly important is that you, my friend, take action. Second, be friendly to other people. When you do so, then you'll feel that radiance is Strivulence. Why? Because whenever you are friendly to other people in your life, then they emit that same friendliness back onto you. It happens very naturally, and you WILL feel it. This relates to Matthew 7:12 in the Bible, which mentions the Golden Rule, and it applies to ANY situation in life, not only being friendly. Third, be confident. Just be confident. Do something that may make you scared for a short while. Then just do that one task with all the strivulence you have. It could be something simple like eating healthy food. It may involve a new exercise routine. It may be learning to drive a new type of vehicle. It does not need to be anything complicated. Some of the most mundane tasks may be extremely fearful. That's quite surprising. No wonder I don't see many people walking around in the wintertime. It may be the coolest time to do so, who knows? Let’s be confident, and let's be clear. Once you take these actions to move yourself forward, then you will feel that radiance of strivulence.

After taking all these actions then we can truly move forward into the spring and for any future month or season to come. We will give that springy pep in our step as we go throughout the path that we choose to go. Now, that's why you all should go spring into Strivulence!
